I only collect what I need to answer your enquiries and carry out your work.

- Files and recordings. To transcribe or caption your work, I receive the recordings, documents, and files you send me. These may contain personal or sensitive information about you or other people, including health, legal, or financial details.
- Basic website information. My website may collect standard technical information, such as your browser type and general location, to help the site run properly and securely.
How I use your information
Your information is used only to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide quotes,
- carry out the transcription or captioning work you request,
- deliver your completed files to you, and
- keep the records I need to run my business.
I do not use your information for marketing, and I never sell it.
Sensitive information
Some of what you send may include sensitive information, such as health, legal, or financial details. I treat this with particular care, use it only to complete your work, and store it securely.
How I protect your information
Your files and details are stored securely while your work is in progress. I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
How long I keep your information
Completed files are kept for 30 days after delivery, so you have time to download them, and are then permanently and securely deleted, with no chance of recovery. If you would like your files deleted sooner, just let me know. Basic contact records may be kept a little longer where I need them for my business or to meet legal requirements.
Who I share it with
Your work is done by me personally and is not shared with anyone else. I do not disclose your information to third parties, except:
- trusted providers who help run my website and email, such as my website host, who only receive what they need, and
- where I am required to do so by law.
Where your information is stored
My website and email are hosted with an Australian provider, and your information is kept in Australia.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to tell you what personal information I hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Just email info@transcriptyin.com.au and I will help.
